An official at the immigration office confirmed that more than 1,000 foreign visitors have applied for visas on arrival since the government resumed the policy a few weeks ago.
Class I Immigration Office Chief Ngurah Rai I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram has confirmed that 1,384 international travelers have applied for visas on arrival for tourism purposes since the government resumed the VoA program on 7 March.
"Of the 4,330 foreign visitors who entered Bali, 1,384 of them applied for a VoA," Mataram said on Thursday (3/17).

He explained that the majority of travelers applying for VoA come from certain countries. "There are 23 countries that can apply for a visa on arrival at Bali airport. However, most foreigners who enter with this type of visa are from Australia, America, Britain, France and Russia,” Mataram added.
Meanwhile, Taufan Yudhistira, Stakeholder Relations Manager at Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport, said Bali airport traffic has increased significantly.
“Bali Airport recorded 7,393 passengers passing through the international arrival terminal and 3,353 passengers passing through the international departure terminal from March 3 to 16. There are a total of 188 international flights,” Taufan said. .
Six international airlines, namely Jetstar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Garuda Airlines, Scoot Tigerair, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Malaysia Airlines have reopened their flights to Bali.
