The video of a woman from Saba Blahbatuh Village, Gianyar, who decided to hold a wedding without a groom has gone viral.

A 22-year-old woman named Ni Putu Melina and her family decided to continue the wedding procession on Wednesday (12/1) even though her fiancé had resigned two days earlier. In the video, Melina shows off her wedding ring while wearing traditional Balinese clothes and accessories. Melina's father, I Ketut Suardika, confirmed that the viral video was his daughter's marriage contract.

Melina's couple suddenly called off the wedding because they refused to live in Melina's family home after the wedding.

"We don't know what happened to him and why he refuses to stay in our house when everything is ready. He has to learn responsibility, so I don't mind if the video goes viral," he said Sunday in Suardika. . 16/1).

Suardika explained that the Melina couple admitted to being rejected by their parents because they did not agree with the idea of Nyentana, a Balinese tradition in which a man leaves his parents' house and lives with his wife after marriage.

“We have accepted this reality and I don't want to force this man to marry my daughter. Fortunately, we are still strong to face this problem," concluded Suardika.
