The government will change the corona virus (Covid-19) testing standard for tourists who take land transportation to Bali. The government will require the use of the Antigen rapid test, replacing the regular rapid test that has been used so far. In addition, aircraft users must use the PCR swab test.
The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, representing the government, said that tourists who are going to board a plane to Bali must take the PCR H-2 test before flying to Bali and require an H-2 rapid antigen test before land travel to Bali at the Covid Handling Coordination Meeting -19 in DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and Bali virtually at the Maritime Office on Monday (14/12/2020).
To regulate the mechanism, he asked the Minister of Health, the Head of BNPB, and the Minister of Transportation to immediately regulate the procedure (SOP) for the use of the rapid antigen test to be completed immediately.During the meeting, Luhut also stated that the government decided to ban crowds and New Year celebrations in public places.
He requested that the implementation of this tightening can begin on December 18, 2020 to January 8, 2021.Responding to Luhut, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also said that he would begin to apply rapid antigen to people entering through airports. The reason behind the issuance of this policy was the significant increase in cases that continued after the holidays & collective leave at the end of October.
