Last week the whole country geared up to celebrate the Merdeka Day, the independence day of Bali. The whole country was decorated in red & white and so was Bali. The whole Island we observed fun celebrations like kids marching for Hari Merdeka Parade, local competitions were held like Panjat Pinang and other small fun entertainment were organized throughout Bali. 

After facing a ban for nearly a decade US has now finally allowed Indonesian Airlines to fly there. The official announcement was made on 15th August. US Federal Aviation administration has upgraded Indonesian aviation safety rating after numerous assessments which determined that they now meet the standards. The national carrier Garuda Indonesia is planning to open their services between Jakarta and U.S cities of New York and Los Angelos in 2017.

Recently an Australian based study revealed its results where 87% of Indonesian participants found their Australian neighbors to be prosperous, progressive, beautiful, highly educated and clean, with a strong economy. However the 47% of Australians were not in the favor of their Indonesian neighbors as their views states Inodnesia as unclean and dangerous.
