Two foreigners from Australia and United Kingdom have been accused of killing an Indonesian policeman on the resort Island of Bali. The accused have been arrested after the body of policeman was found on Kuta beach with fatal head and neck wounds on wednesday.

The Finance Ministry of Indonesia is all set to study about increasing the prices of cigarette packs in Indonesia. They are researching whether the price can be increased for a pack up to IDR 50,000 (approx. USD $3.8) which is almost the twice the current average price of cigarette pack in Indonesia. The need of this study rose as Indonesia became the third largest consumer of cigarettes in the world. The estimated count of adult smokers is 53.7 million and 2.6 million youth smokers. Making it the third-largest cigarette consumer in the world after China and Russia.

Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) is considering a proposal to ban the alcohol countrywide. This proposal has not been appreciated by the foreign countries and the tourism department as it will affect the revenue generated by tourism. A same kind of bill was proposed last year as well which couldn't pass through because of the votes. So we are keeping the fingers crossed for this year as well.
