Even though we have been listening to the rumors about tourism in Bali to open soon with the new normal aspects however it may be far from the truth. As per recent reports Government has decided not to open Bali any time soon considering the risk of covid-19 lingering around.

Doni Monardo, Chief of National Covid-19 Task force said on Wednesday that the possibilities of reopening some of the tourist destinations in Bali have been discussed as for the transition of "new normal" with Wayan Koster, The Governor of Bali and both have reached to the agreement of not doing it.

"The result of our discussions with several regional leaders, including the Bali governor, was that we have decided not to open Bali yet," Doni said in a hearing with House of Representatives Commission X overseeing tourism.

Doni shared that he is looking forward to the local government to prepare a proper plan with guidelines to anticipate the virus and the challenges.

"We want Bali to have a special protocol from other regions, especially in monitoring people [to determine] if they should be allowed to take tours in Bali," he said.

Doni also made a suggestion of installing PCR machines at the ports and the airports by Bali administration.
