Bali Covid-19 Task Force Secretary I Made Rentin has confirmed that Bali's partial lockdown status has been lowered to Level 2 for the next two weeks.
"According to Home Secretary's Instruction Number 18/2022, we will officially lower the lockdown status of parts of Bali from Tier 3 to Tier 2, starting Tuesday (3/22) until April 4" , Rentin said on Tuesday. . .
Rentin explained that the number of new positive Covid-19 cases in Bali was much lower than the recovery rate.
“We only had 76 new Covid-19 patients in the last 5 days, while 108 patients recovered in the same period. We have only recorded one death so far,” Rentin added.
Rentin praised the success of the booster vaccination program which was quickly distributed throughout Bali.
"According to our data as of March 21, 43.20% of the total population of Bali had received a booster against Covid-19. Denpasar, Tabanan and Gianyar distribute boosters to more than 50% of their population while in other regions distribute reminders to at least 30% of their population,” concluded Rentin.
