covid-19 transmission in bali less than 1 percent

After the distribution of vaccine in Bali, officials have confirmed that the transmission of Covid-19 has been significantly low. Made Rentin, The Secretary of the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed that the active corona virus infections in Bali is 406 (.85%) as of Sunday 13 June. Which means it is below 1% of the total population on the Island.


He further confirmed that 3 million people on the Island have already received the vaccination. “A total of 2,958,350 Bali residents have received the Covid-19 vaccine, and that number is a combination between the people who have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and those who have completed the second dose of vaccination.” Rentin added. He further added that Bali province still has enough vaccination supply to complete the course of vaccination program before reopening the International corridor in the near future.


Rentin shared the stats for Sunday 13 June which shows 4 new additional Covid-19 cases, 42 recoveries and 0 deaths. I Dewa Gede Rai, the Spokesman of Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force admitted that this is a great achievement only possible with the people complying to the prevention protocols and the rapid distribution of Covid-19 vaccine in Denpasar and other regions of Bali. He also reminds people to keep supporting the vaccination program in order to achieve herd immunity before finally reopening the border to revive Bali economy from the crisis caused by the pandemic.
