czech couple slammed for disrespecting a temple participate in a cleansing ritual

The Czech couple who was recently slammed online of disrespecting a Balinese temple recently, took part in a cleansing ritual of purification ceremony. Their antics sparked serious warnings that tourists may be kicked out of the Indonesian Island.


Zdenek Slouka and his girl friend Sabina Dolezalova faced some major lash back and serious criticism after posting an online video showing Sabina hiking up her skirt and splashing her backside with holy water inside a Balinese temple. This was a latest but a very serious addition in the embarrassing gaffes on the Hindu dominated Island.The video that was shared by the tourists who have over 85k followers was not appreciated and was bashed as "disgusting" and called for action of them being booted of the Island."


They made a mistake sullying our island," Bali senator Arya Wedakarna told AFP."Anyone who violates our traditions must take part in a purification ritual," he added. Couple realized their mistake and decided to participate in a cleansing ritual of purification. Dressed in traditional clothing, showed respect by touched and pressed their heads with the hands as a show of respect at the Beji Temple. Hindu Priest lead the ceremony with them sipping holy water at Beji Temple, located inside a sanctuary in Ubud."

I'm really glad that we had the opportunity to purify this place and now I would like to say thank you to all the Balinese people because they were very kind to us," Slouka said afterwards. She further added that we are sorry and sincerely hope that no one will ever do something similar again.Bali governor Wayan Koster issued a further statement about dealing hard with bad behaved tourists with no exception. 


"If any tourists act like that in the future, we're just going to send them home," he said.
