An official at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali has confirmed that airport facilities are seeing more visitors since the government changed travel policies.

Taufan Yudhistira, Public Relations Manager of Bali Ngurah Rai Airport, confirmed that the airport has started to see the positive impact of the recent revision of travel requirements.

"In the last few days, we have seen an increase in the number of national and international tourists," said Taufan, Sunday, March 13.

As previously reported by The Bali Sun, the government has lifted the quarantine, continued the VoA program and lifted the Covid test requirement for fully vaccinated domestic tourists. This is part of their efforts to revitalize tourism in Bali.

According to airport officials, 200 international travelers arrived on Monday 3 July, the first day of implementing the zero quarantine policy. The airport experienced an increase, namely the arrival of 535 international visitors on Friday (3/11) and 438 on Saturday (3/12).

The airport also recorded an increase in the number of domestic visitors, from 7,962 visitors on Monday 3 July to 9,013 visitors on Saturday 3 December.
