I Wayan Koster, the Governor of Bali, has forecast that thousands
of international visitors will begin arriving in November 2021.
Despite the fact that the country's border will reopen to
international visitors on October 14th, 2021, Koster revealed that the
international terminal at Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport has yet to receive arrival
schedules from international flights. "There haven't been any
international arrivals this week, and we're still unsure about next week."
Koster stated this at a press conference held at Bali Airport on Thursday
(14/10).
Koster, on the other hand, is optimistic that the situation will
improve in the next weeks, as the central government has stated that Bali has
reopened to more countries. "We're optimistic that we'll welcome thousands
of tourists in November now that we're open to visitors from 19 different
countries, including China, South Korea, India, France, Italy, Japan, Sweden,
Poland, Hungary, Norway, and Spain, which used to contribute significantly to our
economy." Koster continued.
Koster anticipates that the international terminal at Bali's Ngurah
Rai Airport will reopen by the end of October. "We anticipate that our
airport will begin receiving foreign arrivals by the end of this month,
indicating that Bali tourism will improve and the economy will recover from the
crisis." Koster concluded..
