The Bangli local government has decided to reduce the entry fee for local residents who wish to access the Kintamani area.

Head of Bangli Culture and Tourism Board, I Wayan Sugiarta confirmed that after discussing the issue with the Bangli Regional Government, everyone agreed to cut entry tickets in Kintamani for domestic visitors.
“We have agreed to revise the Kintamani entry policy from May 1,” Sugiarta said on Saturday (4/23). Wednesday's meeting (20/4) brought together the Regent of Bangli and several tourist associations. After receiving feedback from other parties, the local government agreed to lower the entrance fee for Balinese residents.
The entrance fee for Balinese residents has been lowered from US$1.7 (Rp25,000) to just US$0.07 (Rp10,000) per person, while domestic visitors from outside the island must pay 1.4 USD (20,000 Rp), compared to 1.7 USD. (Rp 25,000). ) previously. ).
Sugiarta noted that the revised entry policy only applies to Indonesian citizens and international tourists still have to pay 3.5 USD (50,000 Rp) to access the area.
However, admits Sugiarta, this entrance fee policy does not affect the number of visitors to Kintamani as every day the area receives more than 600 visitors.
Meanwhile, Bangli Regent Sedana Arta explained that the implementation of entrance fee policy is important to preserve and develop Kintamani as till now it has been the center of water and oxygen springs for the Balinese people through their lake and forest areas.
