In Bali, there is a much needed movement to ensure food being sourced from responsible, ethical and sustainable farmers. However this doesn't mean that you have to dive in deep in the science of food. The fun part of food is to eat it together with family and friends. Its always a wonderful way to bring people together when you share a meal with them.
Do not spoil such beautiful moments by being a picky eater or getting into the nitty gritty about the food sourcing or the organic origins. Let’s not cloud our friendships with disapproval of our companions’ choices of cuisine! Or worse still, actual criticism over the table. Everyone surely is allowed their own choices?
As much as people disagree I love myself a good steak, as most nay-sayers and party poopers chastise the humble cow being an inefficient eater or a major methane source.I still eat fish though I don’t honestly know if it’s ‘line caught’ or not, but of course, prefer that it is. I am eternally grateful, for delicious vegetables though I don’t know if they have been carefully raised with no pesticides or pure organic compost, but would prefer if they have.
However I do keep an open mind to consider all these things when I plan to dine out and select the restaurant along with my meal. I do prefer and favor those who have joined "Say Yes to less" movement and have agreed to
eliminate single-use plastic and reduce and repurpose their food waste, but in the end what I want from a meal is a wonderful, peaceful, gentle time and good company. Don’t you?
I wish you all an absolute feast in Bali, where the choice of restaurants as you will read inside is absolutely fantastic!
