moto gp race gets hundred of hotels booked in bali

Hundreds of hotel rooms in Karangasem have been booked by tourists for the upcoming March 2022 Moto GP event.

Chairman of the Karangasem Hotel and Restaurant Association I Wayan Kariasa confirmed that 500 hotel rooms in the Karangasem area have been booked for the upcoming Moto GP race. The event will take place in Mandalika, Lombok.

"According to hotel information, many Moto GP fans have booked hotel rooms through travel agencies," said Kariasa.

Kariasa is grateful that this important international event took place on an island close to Bali and hopes the situation will stabilize to reduce the risk of cancellation.

“We are delighted to hear this good news. We really hope to have a positive impact on tourism in Bali,” added Kariasa.

Kariasa hopes the government will reopen Bali's airport for regular commercial flights and designate the island as a quarantine center for international travelers.

“We ask the central government to reduce or even lift the quarantine policy if possible, and reactivate the visa-on-arrival policy. This is the only thing that can revive our tourism sector," concluded Kariasa.
