north bali to receive major tourism investment boost
North Bali is poised for a significant surge in tourism investment, with developers committing approximately Rp 250 billion (around USD 15 million) to new hospitality and destination projects in the region. This move reflects growing investor confidence in North Bali’s potential as a thriving tourism hub.
The funding will come from the internal resources of Sarana Pembangunan Bali as well as contributions from international partners, and will be deployed through a collaboration with Dopin Pariwisata Indonesia. Together, they plan to focus on constructing hotels and developing integrated tourism zones that align with evolving travel demand.
According to Sarana Pembangunan Bali’s Chief Executive, the investment strategy emphasises sustainable tourism principles such as environmental stewardship, cultural preservation, and community empowerment. This approach is seen as essential for long-term economic and social impact in the region.
Officials also highlighted that part of the funding has been supported by a formal investment mandate from foreign investors, signaling strong confidence in North Bali’s growth prospects in 2026 and beyond.
The investment will be rolled out in phases, coordinated with project timelines and permitting requirements. This methodical rollout is intended to balance risk while allowing adaptability to shifting trends in the global tourism market.
With plans for the proposed North Bali International Airport gaining momentum, infrastructure developments like these are seen as critical to preparing the region for a larger influx of visitors. Adequate accommodation and tourism facilities will be key to unlocking North Bali’s full potential and easing congestion in more established southern Bali destinations.
Dopin Group’s President Director noted that the partnership goes beyond capital investment, emphasising the importance of strategic networks and industry experience in realising these ambitious tourism goals.
Overall, this investment marks a strategic step toward positioning North Bali as a compelling destination for travellers and investors alike — with strong growth anticipated as infrastructure and hospitality offerings expand.
