A Bangli local government official has confirmed plans to develop a drag race track in Bangli.

Director of Public Works Bina Marga Bangli, I Wayan Lega Suprapto confirmed that the construction of the drag race track in Bangli is expected to start soon.

“Development of this drag racing track requires around US$370,000 (5.3 billion rupees). The tender for this project will start next month," Suprapto said, Tuesday (22/3).

Suprapto explained that the development went through several stages of preparation, including design, site selection, and a study of its impact on residents.

"We contacted the Indonesian Automobile Association (IMI), which became our consultant to build a race track with international standards. This organization also helped us to study the potential impact on the local community," Suprapto added.

According to the latest assessment, the development is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, as many residents have shown enthusiasm for this upcoming project.
