Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has received letters from two of the world's largest foundations requesting a meeting in Bali.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan confirmed that the President had received a letter from Bill Gates and the Rockefeller Foundation requesting permission to hold a meeting.

They intend to discuss the issue of climate change in Bali and hold an event scheduled for April 2022.

"After receiving the letters, the President asked me what the purpose of their visit to Bali was. I told him I didn't know exactly, but they offered to attend the event to be held in April this year," Luhut said. .

Luhut also said that the President had expressed his willingness to attend the event.

The President wants to discuss the issue of climate change and waste management in Indonesia. He also wanted to talk about small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.

“The president loves attending events and will probably dedicate a day or two of his program to informing them about small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. You can imagine how Indonesia has attracted international attention," said Luhut.
