Bali authorities will be conducting random corona virus swab tests at the various ports of entry of the province as the increase in the number of travelers is expected

following last week’s Eid holiday in Indonesia.

“So we will check everyone who enters Bali, we will check their papers, their temperature, and then we will also conduct random antigen rapid [tests],” Indra, who heads the traffic directorate at the Bali Police, said today.

This procedure will be applicable in Ngurah Rai Airport, Gilimanuk and Padangbai ports as well from 18th May to 24th May to prevent the transmission of covid-19 in Indonesia, Indra said.

If anyone is tested positive they will be directed to a quarantine facility by the officials maintained by regional government.

“But we will also look at the situation on the ground, if there are still a lot of people traveling beyond those dates, then we will continue to check,” Indra added.
