An official from the Bali Covid-19 Handling Task Force has confirmed that the rate of Covid-19 recovery in Bali has increased.

Bali recorded 1,307 new cases and 1,686 recoveries on Tuesday (15/2), reflecting a significant increase in recovery rates since Omicron infections first spiked a few weeks ago.

However, he admitted, 20 patients in Bali still died during this third wave.

To avoid another outbreak of transmission, the government has prepared quarantine facilities to accommodate asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.

Spokesman for the Denpasar Covid-19 Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai, said that the Denpasar City Government has four quarantine facilities, although some Covid-19 patients are still self-isolating at home.

"Some children and the elderly have been allowed to self-isolate at home under the supervision of local authorities," Dewa Rai said, Monday (14/2).

He ensured that all patients undergoing self-isolation were monitored regularly to prevent the formation of a Covid-19 cluster among them.
