The 2nd week of july kicked with a very long weekend as the holidays were announced for Idul Fitri which is Muslims favorite religious festival. The prices of bus tickets seen a rapid increase from Monday as Muslim community started heading back to Java to their home towns or relatives to spend this wonderful event. 

To ensure a smooth transit of holidays Government officials made sure to take necessary steps. One of those steps was to ban freight vehicles from using the Bali Mandara Toll road from 1st July till 10th July. These freight vehicles included trailer trucks, trucks with containers, and trucks with more than two axles, according to Berita Dewata. 

Bali also observed increased security measures taken by the government in wake of the recent attacks on the Muslim countries like Bangladesh, Syria and specially Saudia Arabia the most holy place for muslims. Navy was also called to help with the security of the Ngurah Rai Airport. Around 2000 police officers were deployed to ensure the maximum security measures. Random security checks and raids were conducted by the police on the Island and a lot of foreigners were apprehended and fined because of the not carrying their identification with them. It is now mandatory for the foreigners to carry their identification with them.
