Hindu Balinese community celebrated its one of the most important day in the traditional Balinese calender on September 7th known as Galungan. It is a day where the community celebrates the victory of good over evil marking the beginning of important recurring religious after ten days including Kuningan. This tradition is cherished among the children too as most schools give a week long holidays while offices get the galungan day off. The traffic may be less but the roads were filled with the big religious ceremonies. 

After Galungan day, tourist destinations will be packed as Balinese families will conduct what's called Umanis Galungan, a tradition of visiting relatives and family recreation after prayers.

After the recent outbreak of Zika virus in Singapore where the count reached from zero to 258 in less than a month and the epidemic is expected to spread wide in Asia. An Indonesian health official has recently issued a statement it is not possible for authorities to step up surveillance in Indonesian as thorough check standards are not available for possible zika outbreak. The world health organization has listed Indonesia among the countries with the possible endemic transmission of Zika virus. However authorities are yet to receive the evidence of recent or current infections of Zika virus from the population of 250 million population.
