As the pandemic of Covid-19 is everywhere and face masks have now become a necessity. To cope with the increasing demand and shortage of face mask, InterContinental Bali Resort has created their own homemade cloth face masks sewn from upcycling the resort’s linen. They have distributed the masks among their employees, family of the employees and their community. Made from upcycled linen these homemade masks are made by the skilled tailoring team of the resort working under their Housekeeping department. The team manages to produce up to 40-50 masks to make sure they can distribute as many as they can.

Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Radka Janotova stated "The inspiration for this initiative came actually from my home country, the Czech Republic where the campaign of wearing homemade masks, “My mask protects you, your mask protects me” is having a great success among the people. The masks our team has sewn can provide protection for those who still need to interact with the public, especially our employees.”

Its not the first time that Intercontinental Bali Resort has stood up for its community. They have a solid commitment to any Social Responsibility or activity which involves helping out the community. They have been actively donating to local orphanage, worked on the zero waste management program with Green school and

supporting local artists and home industries to showcase their products and many more.
