Seminyak: Lunch at Cocoon Beach Club to help Bali landslide victims
The Bali Children Foundation is getting together with Cocoon Beach Club for a fundraiser luncheon on Friday to help families affected by devastating landslides that hit Bali’s Kintamani region in February 2017, taking the lives of 13 residents. Money raised from the event will go to scholarships for the families in need, and also towards repairing and renovating an English classroom equipped with electricity, lights, fans, and a 55-inch smart TV. More info will be provided at the event, but the target for the luncheon tickets, raffles, auctions, and donations is ambitious, at Rp 75 million.

Bali’s biggest cultural festival extravaganza, the Bali Arts Festival, is coming soon, so if you are around, it is definitely worth checking out to experience some of Bali’s most dynamic and spectacular performing and visual arts, from the traditional to the contemporary. The programming runs one month, from June 10 until July 8, but try to make it for the flashy kickoff parade that will take place as President Joko Widodo inaugurates the event.

Legendary sunset spot La Laguna is putting on a ‘Fire Element’ Gypsy Festival to appeal to all the Boho babes in Bali. The festival will feature a sunset market, live painting, a fire dance performance, and DJ’d beach party.
