Recently Bali has been hotter than usual, people are not spending more than few minutes outside before heading inside as quickly as possible under air conditioning or fans during the day time.

Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Bali to no surprise has recorded the highest warmest temperature at the Island since last 30 years in this month.

It’s the dry season right now, and we are also transitioning [to wet season]. In the current condition, the temperatures are rising. In October [we] recorded temperature as high as 35 degrees Celsius in Bali,” Iman Faturahman, who heads the Data and Information Department at BMKG’s Denpasar chapter told Merdeka yesterday.

Iman further stated that the observation clearly shows that it has been the warmest in comparison to last 30 years. The average has been 34.9 degrees Celsius. He also explained that BMKG doesn't consider it as some extreme weather. If we are to say it’s extreme, then the temperature has to be more than 35 [degrees Celsius].”

The warmest temperature was recorded at Sangalh in Denpasar according to the local reports. Iman further explained that BMKG expects rain to pour sometime in November which is a bit late start than the normal wet season to last year.

Unfortunately Bali isn't alone in this scenario as most of the cities across Indonesia are experiencing high temperatures as well. This heart is definitely a reason to bring an umbrella, a hat, putting on the sunscreen when you are heading out folks. And remember do not forget to stay hydrate so always keep a water bottle on you.
