Bali Provincial Administration is all geared up and preparing to welcome the foreign tourists in September after the International Travel restrictions following the ongoing covid crisis.
I Wayan Koster, The Governor of Bali has announced a three step plan for reopening the activities with full compliance of "new normal' policies. The approach entails to reopen the world famous tourist destinations to International tourist by September 11.
Local tourists will be able to visit the island’s famous vacation spots starting on Jul. 9, Koster said.
“To that end, we must surrender ourselves and pray so that we will be graced [with good fortune],” he said after participating in a local religious ceremony on Sunday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Koster also explained on Thursday that all tourist destinations were closed by him until further notice.
However the ban didn't stop many regions from reopening the access to famous beaches including Canggu and Labuan Sait Beach in Badung regency to foreign tourists.
It is no secret that the closure of tourism has hit Bali hard because of the pandemic. The number of foreign visitors has nearly fell to zero now following the first case of reported case in the country.
As of Sunday, Bali had confirmed 1,849 COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths linked to the illness
