Tourism Ministry recently conducted an international survey
and as a result Labuan Bajo in West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara has
been named as the favorite destination.
The award was presented on Wednesday by the tourism Minister. This
report was confirmed by East Nusa Tenggara head of tourism and creative economy
Marius Ardu Jelamu in Kupang on Thursday.
Labuan Bajo was selected as a winner after a thorough selection
process by the Ministry and creative economy agency. Other international and
domestic tourist destinations were also nominated by Ministry and agency during
the process.
A recent survey conducted by CNN also supported Labaun Bajo ‘s recent achievements. This
survey voted Labaun Bajo as the second best snorkeling place following Raja
Ampat, West Papua. "Labuan Bajo also has a lot of tourist attractions,
such as Pede beach, Batu Cermin, small islands as well as Komodo dragons on
Rinca Island and Komodo Island," explained Marius.
