Bali is one of the top tourist destinations in the world with one of the largest turn over of the tourists per annum. The security status of the Island has been directed to change the security status from Green to Yellow as per the instructions of Ministry of Transportation. There have been a lot of steps and measurements taken to ensure the maximum security for the airport and the passengers. It has been taken due to the increase of number in the escalating threats from the terrorist extremists group from around the world. The government has deployed hundreds of police personnel, Indonesian military members and the pecalang (traditional balinese guards. PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport general manager IGN Ardita confirmed that the patrols have been intensified, all security is continuously being screened by the 500 CCTV cameras and they are planning to install more cctv cameras in the airport to make sure that they are covering all the important areas.
