A Balinese businessman plans to develop a motorcycle racing circuit in the northern region of Bali by 2023.

A businessman from Bali named Gusti Ngurah Anom (Ajik Krisna) was appointed as General Chair of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) Bali on Saturday (19/2) night in Benoa, Denpasar.

He later announced that he planned to develop a motocross racing circuit in North Bali by 2023 to support aspiring Balinese racers.

“I plan to start developing a mini circuit in North Bali in 2023, so that all automotive events and activities will be centered in this area in the future. I also want to develop professional automotive events to create and encourage future athletes in the world. island," said Krisna.

This plan has attracted the attention and support of the provincial government because it has the potential to boost Bali's economy through sports tourism.

"Developing a competitive business on the island can help Bali recover from the current economic crisis," said Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace).

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Sports Committee for Bali, I Ketut Suwandi, said IMI has the potential to engage in sports tourism which will generate income for Bali.
