BEST DIVING SPOTS

Bali offers one of the best diving spots in the world, a totally new world of color, beauty and marine life exists under the sea luring the divers to just wander and discover whats hidden.

Menjangan Island


It is located just 5 miles off shore in the northwest Bali, it is home to the beautiful Menjangan National Marine Reserve which is also Bali's most protective marine life reserve. It offers you a complete package of diving with colorful soft corals, sponges, marine life, WWII remnants, the Anchor Wreck, a sunken wooden vessel. The best time to dive at Menjangan Island is between February and April.

Tulamben (Northeast Bali)


This beautiful fishing village is located in the northeast coast of Bali and it is one of the most popular diving hotspots, on average it attracts up to 100 divers per day. This dive site is infamous for wreckage of the USAT Liberty, a World War II US Army Transport ship from 1942 that was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine. Molamola, whale sharks and Black-tip reef sharks are the cherry on top that you can witness during diving. The best season to dive is between October and November.

Manta Point (South Bali)


Hop on a boat from Nusa Penida and go for a stunningly beautiful 45 minute ride to reach this protected cliff of Manta Point. You can guess from the name, its i home to beautiful Giant Manta Rays. The main dive site is 15 meters below the surface, a beautiful rocky wall with sporadic boulders. However most divers only have to dive down 4-6 meters to witness the elegance of Manta Rays gliding through the sea. You can visit Manta Ray all around the year.

The sea holds an important place in the Balinese culture so there are temples and sites which you will see dedicated to the ocean all around the year.

Pura Gede Perancak

Pura Gede Perancak is a prominent Hindu temple in Bali that honors the site of 16th-century religious figure Dang Hyang Nirartha’s arrival in Bali back in 1546. It has a scenic view which overlooks Perancak River near a village with the same name. 

Pura Pulaki

Pura Pulaki is believed to have been built in 1489 by Dang Hyang Nirartha in the west of Singaraja. It has a small entrance fee as a donation for whatever amount. Sarong and rentals are also available.

Pura Rambut Siwi

Pura Rambut Siwi is located around 87 Km from Denpasar to the east of Negara, this is one of the largest Hindu temples in Bali. It translates to "worship of the hair" as it is believed here ere it was said that Dang Hyang Nirartha gifted a lock of his hair to the villagers, whom then built the temple around it. The temple rests on top of a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, with an entrance fee of IDR 20,000.
