PALU, Indonesia — An earthquake measuring 7.4 SR shook with the epicenter near Donggala City, Central Sulawesi, Friday (9/28) evening. Earthquakes were felt in the city of Palu and Mamuju. Shortly after the big earthquake shattered the building, the tsunami waves came, sweeping away the city of Palu to hundreds of meters.
In addition to destroying Donggala City, a large earthquake shook the tsunami disaster in Palu City. The height of the water waves in Palu Beach ranges from 1.5 to 3 meters and crashes on buildings on the coast to the mosque and one of the shopping centers in the city of Palu. Earthquake shocks that occurred were felt in areas around Central Sulawesi, even to the island of Borneo.
INDONESIA has called for our help as the death toll from a series of powerful earthquakes and a tsunami. The disaster has killed more than 800 children, men and women — but the death toll is expected to rise sharply with many people still buried under collapsed buildings. Children are always the most vulnerable in disasters like this. Families are reportedly sleeping on the streets — too fearful to return to their homes because of aftershocks.
Hundreds of earthquake victims in Donggala, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi) still need a lot of help.
