visa free entry for 47 countries including oz by october

Finally the Government has realized the potential of tourism that Bali brings and they have decided to take some very good and serious steps to make sure about that. Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Rizal Ramli announced on Tuesday that they have decided to add 47 more countries to their visa free policy. The best part about this announcement is that Australia is on that list as well, since the tourists from Australia has seen visiting Bali in a huge increasing number recently. The Minister further confirmed that this decision was taken to boost the tourist arrival and to increase the economical value of the Indonesian Currency. Government has set a target of 20 million tourists in the next 5 years. Minister Rizal Ramli also said that they are hopeful that this policy/step will attract more tourists from all around the world and also help the economy in creating new jobs. This step has been taken because of the positive results of waiving visas to 45 countries which showed promising positive results of increased tourism by 15%. They are also very hopeful that this extension will increase country’s foreign exchange income to US$20 Million in the next 5 years. Government has also developed a criteria about giving the visa free entry to the countries, the countries with drug, economic & radicalization issues have been removed from the list as the proposal was of 50 countries. The Director General of Immigration Ronny.F.Sompie further confirmed that they have also planned to increase the number of counters on ports and Airports to cater the increased tourist arrivals along with an online system development in progress which would help them in gauging, tracing the background of the tourists in real time to ensure that they are not in the black lists or a security concern for the country.
